Depends on tractor.   210 hp will pull a 50' around 12 mph, if your wearing a hard hat.

 

 

We do it after planting.  Does nothing to soil structure.  Just flattens the top off for the best combine job one can get.   A roller was one of our best purchases in the last 4 years.
