what do these land rollers do to the soil structure, is it good or bad to do this

Yes it helps with rocks but it also pushes the root balls from last year corn back down so the y don't get in the combine or get pushed by the sickle and plug up the bean head. As fo pulverizing clods I doubt it does that very much unles the field is very firm. One big advantage is it levels the field making the combine head cut closer getting more of the bean pods closest to the ground. Some years beans pod closer to the ground than others. It will also save your combine because there is less dirt entering the machine. In our case ther is a considerable amout of last years corn residue so wind erosion isn't a concern.
