Subject: RE: good post

SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
I do have a problem with statements claiming .6 N is all thats needed, saving fertilizer costs all without any long term concrete evidence studies to back it up, fall NH3 is wastefull, full tillage is a no-no ect... other than that I like the concept of strip till, it has its good and bad just like fullwidth tillage. The posts get a little commercialized. I think more e-mails would be better.
Strip till for those of us that use NH3 in the fall should be a priority. Liquid 28% or Urea is just to expensive. I can't see paying almost twice as much for product and then cutting rates??????Corn is 6$ for heaven sakes, No farmer in his right mind should short his crop this year.
Also narrow row soybeans with strip till. 30 years of data shows and proves that narrow rows outyield 30".
I would take that bet every time in SW MN.
