southern MN | Heard on the public TV weather channel just now, we average 18 growing degree days by today for the year here in southern MN.
This year we have totaled: One.
Supposed to be 39 for a low this evening.
One gal on my sand volleyball team is still wearing gloves to play - this is our 5th week of play.
Supposed to warm up this weekend. Need it.
I see a little bit of corn emerged on the sand dunes south of Sleepy Eye - under the pivots. Otherwise most are still planting corn, or about finished just now, with most all corn going in the ground the past 3-4 days. Lot of beans and some corn left to hit the dirt.
