The only thing I have experienced, and others as well (by personal one on one conference), the plant will appear to "stall" out for a few days about a week or so after emergence. The consensus that has been arrived by all I"ve talked to, is that with roots taking the path of least resistance, they get into a "growth pattern", but when they reach the boundary of the "strip", the soil structure changes and the plant has to "readjust".

I haven't seen any detrimental effect from it ...... yet anyway.

It just makes you question what's happening to a short period of growth "stall".
