Murfreesboro, Tennessee | Well, we are from the land of the RU resistant marestail and it has been a battle for us for the last several years. The best thing is cold hard steel. But, we are no till primarily too. On ground going into beans, we like to use Valor w/RU in burndown. First Rate over the top seems to really get them with your over the top application. We use dicamba on ground going into cotton and agree with the other poster that it seems to work the best. Used gramaxone and 24d burndown on corn ground and that seemed to smoke them as well.
We have discovered that marestail (as well as other R/U resistant weeds) is an ongoing problem that we must consider at all times. Good luck. | |
