Lancaster, OH | I'm a little surprised. As I remember plots with this genetics, it wasn't the fastest emerger but it wasn't like some others. It seemed like that it had better early growth than emergence scores. It had placement characteristics like 61-45 and a similar fit for no-till because of these characteristics.
Hard to tell from Fairfield/Pickway counties and east where I am, though. Our season has likely been a bit better than yours.
It could be something with that lot, though. Had one 2 years ago in split planter. The seed that was shipped from SA struggled to get up while that grown in the US was fine. | |
