Subject: Re: seed corn treatment

NE WI
The seed company we are a dealer for only has convential hybrid seeds. They developed a partnership with another seed company to add BT and RR hybrid corn/soybean seeds to there lineup. We ordered last fall and payed last fall for BT, RR seed corn and RR soybeans. This spring we get the news from our regional rep that this company they developed a "partnership" with wanted somethinglike $40 more per bag of seed corn. Apparently they saw everything else go up in price so they jumped on the profit/greed bandwagon. The company we are a dealer for wouldn't eat that cost so they bought seed corn from different company. This was untreated and only RR ready. Similuar varity and day. Take it or loose everything was the message we got. They were going to stick us for $800 as they were not able to get the RR beans we ordered. We managed to get more seed corn out of them to replace the bean seeds.

We have worked wih this seed company for over 14 years without problems until this year. Even the regional rep is fed up.

Next year it going to be different seed company all together - one that has there own RR and BT lineup.
