southern Illinois | Got a guy that wants to buy straw out of our field. He said about 1 bale per bu per ac. Hoping for around 70bu wheat so we'll guess he's going to take 70 50lb???? bales of straw off. Does anyone know how much p and k I will lose? At 1000 dap and 700 pot what would be a fair price for my straw and losing a day or two double cropping my beans. He said he paid .70 cents per bale last year and would pay more this year. Any thoughts would be helpful, I just dont know if I want to mess with it. He wants mine cause I have a walker combine and says he cant get good straw behind any of the rotors. And promises to be right behind the combine but thats part of what scares me about windrowing straw up if hes not I cant get the beans planted.
