Subject: RE: corn planting questions

Rivers, MB
We would typically get around 10" of rain during the growing season. It has been quite dry this spring but have decent subsoil moisture. We did get a few 10ths of rain yesterday so we have moisture pretty much right to the soil surface right now. Typically our biggest rains come in June and early July. Typical temperatures are around 25-30 deg Celsius for most of June, July, Aug and around 20-25 in September. Nights are fairly warm with low humidity. We get around 2100 corn heat units. Not sure if you US guys talk in corn heat units (CHU).
