Madision County, IL
Ron,

With the gauges you will have a tee in the line on the output side of the manifold for each knife. A small tube will route from the tee to a gauge tree/panel on the toolbar. The gauge tree is located where the operator can read the gauges.

When a knife is plugged the pressure for that line will be higher (equal to manifold pressure) than the others. The increased pressure will be noticed at the gauge for that row.

When a port on the manifold is plugged you will have less pressure on the gauge for that specific row. The holes drilled in the knife tube create a restriction. Less liguid/gas flowing from the manifold will reduce the restriction and the pressure at the gauge.
