Northern Illinois | no thanks for the info, I am interested just because I have been contemplating planter applied liquid nitrogen to be able to get away with less N, since it is getting so expensive. My ground is not that good very rough clay some good ground but mostly poor. I read a U of Illinois thing that says we should be able to get away with .6 if the N is zone applied, sidedressed or planter applied. I am seriuosly considering it. On my ground I shoot for 160 bpa yield goal so corn on corn gets 160 units of 28, and bean ground gets 120, I figure I could save a lot of money on N by cutting my rates back to like 100 units. Just a thought and like to here what others have to say. I am always willing to learn something new. | |
