I suspect your cultivator is not running perfectly centered behind your tractor. If the cultivator runs 1 foot off center (because it's running deeper on one side, etc.), then you would see 2 feet more overlap going one way than the other. We had a similar issue last fall with a 17' disk-ripper that pulled about 8 inches off-center.

This spring, I'm running a Cruizer with the helix antenna, tilt sensor, and SmarTrax autosteer on a 4WD pulling a 50' field cultivator. I'm running zero offset and the overlap seems consistent going both ways.
