Subject: RE: checking soybean plant population with a hula-hoop

Western illinois
the hula hoop method will work. a 40" hula hoop has an area of 8.72 square feet
so it would take 4995.4 of those to equal an acre. multiply the number of plants
inside that x 4995.4 to get the population. (ex. 25 plants x 4995.4 = 124885 pop.)
