Tell him you will increase his pay again if he comes to work on time and does a good job for 2 weeks or something. Tell him if he does this for a month you will increase his pay by another margin, and if he comes to work and does a good job the whole season there will be something extra for him at the end of the year. You have only made the problem worse. If he sees there is something to gain he will be a better employee, although there are some people that are lazy and don't care. This strategy will not work with them, and you are better of getting rid of them right away. | |
