Woodbury county | I am 50% planted on corn.....guessing I am about where everyone is in this area of northwest Iowa. Had notions of finishing corn by this weekend, but only planted Monday and Tuesday before this area had heavy rain and a lot of hail......then rain again yesterday. More rain in the forecast for coming week and extended forecast is for below normal temperatures for the next 7 days. Haven't seen any corn up yet in this area. Will be some replanting after the heavy rains fell this past week. Looking like some river flooding is forecast for the next couple of days in places. Been a lot of planting done in less than ideal conditions, but what'cha gonna do......? | |
