I sprayed some Makaze on some cover crop wheat. about 12 hrs after that the pivot came around. A week later you could see about 30 acres of where the pivot first got on the wheat and it never died. Ended up respraying it.
I know irrigation is different from rain but I'd say at least 15 hrs and longer would be better.
