We (the retailer I work for) routinely spray Alfalfa with Roundup. The customer waits 36 hours and mows the hay down. It works like a charm for old stands that need to go to Corn. I sprayed a field myself and left a "check" (LOL) and it is amazing the kill you get in 36 hrs with a deep rooted plant like Alfalfa.

I don't think 1 hr would cut it, but I've never tried it. I have witnessed one of the guys just finish right ahead of a downpour (within 15 minutes) and WeatherMax took it down as adverstised.
