north central Oklahoma | What would be wrong with adding any of the SU chems that we use at topdress to control weeds while the wheat is small. I believe they even Finesse B&G now that controls both grasses and broadleaves in wheat. Might want to check and see what the "G" chemistry is and how long to wait before seeding wheat, it is usually applied to growing wheat, not sprouting wheat.
Edited to add: We have also applied some of the metolachlors as late as June for milo and still got back to wheat. Total rainfall and our low pH soils I think helped in this endeavor.
