I have not tissue tested before, but I will be doing some this year. I have a few questions. How well do the soil test results match with the tissue test results? If there is a discrepancy in the soil test and the tissue test do you assume you have a root problem or some issue with uptake? I have done numerous soil test in the past number of years and have a very good understanding of soil test results. I have just looked at the plant for nutrient deficiency symptoms and not tissue test. There are a few soil tests that I do not have a lot of confidence in (sulfur for one), is that also the case with some tissue tests? Does tissue testing work better for some nutrients and not others or for some crops and not others (I am mainly interested in corn, beans, and wheat). I am sure to have more questions once I start to tissue test.

What are your thoughts on the end of season stalk nitrogen test?

Thanks for the help.
