| we just never seem to get around to following them up....LOL Naw, but seriously, we mostly follow the leader so to speak. Several tests have been done both privately and in tandem with the university. Seems to be the way to go. Some of it is also just piece of mind insurance. Its cheap enough. We've been putting in an insecticide with the first app of fungicide the last couple years, and we feel it has helped, while others that dont apply it complain of honey dew problems but refuse to believe that an insecticide on grass can be worthwhile. *shrug*
Oh, and on edit, I guess the main thing that keeps the headers in research is the fact that there are'nt any available to buy.;-( I found a few used single sycle heads, but no double sycles. I'd have to pay for and reserve one now for delivery in 09'. No thanks. I have a shop.
