Get the GPS fired up and go to the screen that gives you the speed read out. Then turn the Raven on and see if the speed it shows matches what the GPS shows. If it doesn't, you need to reset the speed input on the Raven. I don't know how to do that on the 4400.

Also, on the EZ+ you do need the additional pulse thing-a-ma-jig. Sorry, can't remember what it's called right now. Put it on the serial cable going to the Raven.

GPS speed seems to be much more accurate than anything else I've seen.
