You need to talk with your seed guy too about the specific hybrids you plant to plant. Different hybrids can vary tremendously in seeds/lb. I have two Garst hybrids that we push in NW Kans SW Nebr that are 12 and 18,000 seeds lb. That can greatly affect how much your going to need.
How is the moisture over in your part...
