The biggest enemy of all hydraulic pumps and motors is heat and dirt. As long as the system is kept clean and cool any pump/motor should last a long time. The newer 3320 uses a RexRoth motor planetary system that they have used for only a couple of years but we have had no problems on the few that we have out. The biggest thing to remember to do is to change the oil in the planetaries regularly and change the hyd oil and filters. When filling the hyd system never fill direct into the tank but make sure it goes in through the filter. Hydraulic filters are not cheap, up to $200 each but well worth the cost if it saves a hydro in the long run.
