The 9250 couplers are different. To release the couplers, push in on the hose to compress the coupler, then keep the coupler compressed by grabbing and holding the hose in front of the coupler while pulling the hose out. Hard to explain but it really is simple. We bought a 9250 in 1990 and fought this problem for a year before someone demonstrated it to me. It works.
