Subject: RE: Rotary phase convertors

Eastern Washington
I got the eletronics from a guy on ebay, that used a 3 phase electric motor hooked to the electronics that converted the single phase to 3 phase. get one that is about 50% bigger than you need and you won't notice the loss in power. I had an unused 15hp motor laying around so thats the size of electronics I ordered. It works great. I didn't pay a lot for the electronics seems like $250 or so a few years ago. It's just a series of capacitoprs and such wired together in a box with a switch on top. You turn on the switch and the converter motor starts, then you can use the 3ph power.
