Subject: RE: Broadcast Wheat

NW Tennessee
It's been done in this area all my life. Most sow 3 bpa with spreaders or air flows as opposed to 2 bpa drilled. We always blend in our P & K and a low rate of N. We usually disc the ground, followed by a field cultivator. Then sow the wheat and work it in with a do-all. We get much more uniform emergence with this than discing it in, although if we sow behind corn we usually don't have a choice but to disc it in.
