Slicker than a Yes album. | Just got the scraper back from the repair shop today. I'm reasonable sure this was the original ball on here. (The power unit was taken off and the dolly put on) Not sure if all the pond work in December was the final straw, but it was due to be rebuilt. The first few pics are of the ball and crushed socket. The others are, obviously, the after pics. We tried to find a ball and socket, but ran into dead ends. Holmes welding http://www.holmeswelding.com/ in Iowa had a line on something (he converts self propelled 621's etc to pull types), but the welding shop already had this nearly done. I think it turned out quite well, but time will tell. It'll get a workout soon.
I have to give Crawler Welding some love here. A top notch machine shop in Mankato, MN. http://www.crawlerwelding.com/
