| i happen to work at a mfg. in the testing area , When there is a question on air flow thru screen a air velicity meter is used ( a hot wire ananomoneter ) .There is a line that has to be drawn, keeping debry out or restricting air flow. a quick rule is more screen the better (less volume at certain points ) and try to keep the screen around .06 to .09 size, Air velocity after the fan ,lower the better.want the debry to stickto the screen instead of being pulled into the rad.and cooler fins. MY TWO CENTS
