Yeah, it works. Farmers down here use a disk harrow or field cultivator. You can even mix it with fertilizer and cut it all in at once. Just mix and spread without leaving the two sitting together for more than an hour or two, as fertilizer can reduce seed germination. I suggest that you increase your seeding rate about 25%. You'll make a crop, and can make a good crop, but it never makes the best crop, as stand just does not emerge with enough uniformity to suit me.
