Subject: RE: Planting with WASS

Colby, Kansas
We (dad and brother) have planted with WAAS for the last 2 years using an EZ-Guide+. Operators were happy with that.

My caveat is: Our yield goal is 100 bu, drop 10-18k depending upon conditions and field, and we play with all sorts of row spacing, so to us having a 40 in guess row in places is not that big of a deal. Our guess rows were within 26 - 34" most of the time. We will be on RTK this year as I'm putting together a system for entertainment/educational value. I don't expect our guess row accuracy to improve much as we use a 16 row pull type and plant over terraces.

Be aware that WAAS accuracy is only going to degrade over the next several years due to solar cycle. If your OmniStar ready, just hold off and try it on WAAS, if you change your mind one phone-call and 15 minutes later can fix it.
