Some day I may write a book about that period of combine development in the entire industry. I've always wanted to pick up where Graeme Quick left off. Probably a lot of others better equipped to cover it than me. Probably none of us ever will. Combines get in your blood I guess. Absolutely fascinating time. Changes in agriculture, business (methods/operations/objectives) and engineering (cad/cam/dfm) all coming together at the same time. The auger feed was an idea that actually came from the cornhead/feederhouse combo on the old JD95 combines in the 60's. Jim at Dawn
