| It looks like soil type difference. Here in our part of IL we have Herrick- Piasa , Virden- Piasa, Herrick, and Virden soil types. The soils with Piasa in them will die in the Piasa areas ,stay green in the Virden and Herrick areas. The Piasa areas are high in sodium, in a year without stess it is hard see a difference. By looking at the ground it is hard to define where the Piasa areas are. If you have a year like this when corn is under stess you know where the Piasa areas are. | |
