I have used "awning cleaner" to clean up the awning on a camper I borrowed once. It worked great, made the awning look like new. The mildew&mold rolled right off after I scrubbed the water/awning cleaner on with a brush then just rinsed it off. Seems like awning material is somewhat close to roll tarp material.
I found the cleaner at good ol' Walmart if you want to give it a try.
How do I clean a ShurLoc tarp?
