Shaftsbury, Vermont (SW VT) | It may be just a run of bad pumps, but did you flush the cooling system and put in new antifreeze? We've had cases where the antifreeze has been "over-medicated" with corrosion protective additives, and the excess silicates drop out of solution in the form of hard grains, almost like sand.
