Back in the 50's, a neighbor's father bought a farmall M in Greeley CO, didn't like the price to deliver it to Loma CO, so he drove it home, about 350 mi. in those days, over Berthoud Pass, which is about 12,000 ft. elevation...it was summer, & his wife followed w/the camp outfit, took 2-3 days, as I remember his son telling. It had a fair set of tires when he started out, & they were bald when he got home. If you've ever known a stubborn ol' Dutchman sugar beet farmer, this guy was one of 'em...
