| I watered every other row for years even on heavy soils. Tried alternating but found it was just not worth the hassle. Yield wise, I doubt you will see a difference.
As the other poster said, having an unwatered row may catch more rainfall and we used to put down our fertilizer as NH3 in between the rows so I always felt that by not watering a furrow that at least I would not leach down N on that furrow. | |
