You'll use it more than you ever thought possible. Plus, you got it cheap enough that you'll never lose money on it, unless you wreck it. Is it a 2 stroke motor?
As mentioned above, some tires with actual tread will make it go better in less-than-ideal conditions. My brother got lawnmower tires from Wal-Mart, we put tractor-style lug tires on ours.
