Alton, Ia | Almost, because my plan fell through. Came across a cream puff tractor in central IL, have a good family friend 50 miles away who's a retired dealer. He would go look it over for me, then I was going to drive the pickup down, check it out, do the deal, hitch pickup to tractor and head home. (Making a pull bar for pickup anyway.) Figured I'd waste one day and $100 driving pickup back, so two long ones and probably $300 in fuel with the tractor wasn't really that big of deal. Estimated it would be $1000 plus to haul, put that towards fuel and someday tire replacement.
Fell through because I had to wait for fair to be done, tractor got sold.
One time, I put together a spreadsheet figuring how many miles I drove a year at 3-6 mph. It was something like 3000. Do it sometime, it will amaze you.
