SE PA | I'm working on the clutch on this little critter..... It has a cab on it, so it has the master-cylinder in the cab, and slave cylinder in the clutch housing. My problem is with getting the sucker to not grind gears when I shift. I've got the jd tech manual for the tractor, and I've bled it, I adjusted the linkage/piston correctly, but it still grinds. It's not a bad grind, it's just that things are still moving a little when I want to go into gear. The book says the next step is to split the tractor and tear into the clutch.... I don't want to do that, unless I absolutely have to. I don't think it'll get used much more than 40-50 hours a year, and I'll be the only guy on it....
Now the question.... When I push the clutch pedal in, should it go REALLY hard towards the end of stroke, or should it have equal pressure the whole travel?
