It has been a few years since I adjusted the lever on a 5240, but I think there is a set screw which tightens the band in place. You can take an allen wrench and loosen the band, set it where you want, and then tighten it back. It may be hard to find, but I think it is opposite the lever position on the steering column. I guess that would be on the right, below the steering wheel. I found this by accidentally feeling it when I was doing a little cab cleaning.
