Quincy, IL | Pig manure varies greatly based on the source & storage type. (Sow unit vs. finisher, pit vs. lagoon, Etc.)
I have a feeder-finish building where the manure is stored in an 8' pit under slats. I have it pumped in the fall via a drag-line system-they inject it 4-6" deep on 30" centers. We typically apply 6-8000 per acre every 4 years-always before corn in a c-b rotation.
My analysis is as follows; (Actual units of NPK per 1000 gallon)
50N per 1000 (~70% available 1st year when injected)
20P per 1000 (plenty is available 1st year...no worries there!)
30K per 1000 (same goes here-plenty available)
