Yes, I think the confirmation of the other years is also important. They need to be pointing in the same general direction or something else is going on.

We do have some deer damage and a little raccoon but it is at the fields edges and not significant. I don't trust the border information much anyway.

One advantage I have seen from narrow 15 or 20 inch rows in corn is the Deere do not like to walk through it as well as 30"
