We used to eat puddin' and hominy with syrup on top for breakfast.  I always thought it was a PA Dutch thing??  Hominy came in a can and was sort of like a mushed corn, pastey kind of thing.  The puddin' I think was a loose scrapple?  God, I can't beleive I use to eat it, although, I did like it.  Haven't had it in probably 20 years.
