Chilliwack, British Columbia | What I have heard from our herd vet is that no matter what, a small percentage of cows will have BSE. Just something that happens naturally, in small percentages. This particular cow may never have had exposure, just one of those natural cases. Not sure where he got that information from, maybe I should ask my vet student brother today as well what he has heard on that.
Our original government ban was supposed to be in 1997, and I think there were more amendments in 2000 or something, not sure on that.
