Lubbock, Texas | while there are many things working against ethanol.....the vast majority of plants I have read about were making a nice profit in the past and many have paid off debts and are still up and running just fine
so the fact a few fail in a new type of business is no surprise
remember even during the dotcom boom when all you needed for a plan was a website with .com at the end.....many still failed....then yes there was a bust.....but those that had a REAL plan and produced a REAL product.....went on and are doing well.....and things are picking up for some dotcomers
so yes ethanol plants closing or not making it off the drawing board is a sign....but to me not a sign of total doom and collapse.....just a sign that the early bird gets the worm and the stragglers have much ground and many hurdles to overcome | |
