Subject: RE: Wheat - Can you say Jenga?

Seneca Kansas 66538
I was at the Lebo auction last week and was talking to a wheat producer from Garden City KS. This man said the wheat in that area doesnt look well at all, alot got put in the ground with very dry soils and had a difficult time emerging. He also said that they havent gotten much winter precipitation in that area. I dont know what the market is trying to tell us, but I didnt realize the wheat in that area was that poor. I really have been thinking all along that the wheat out west was probably in excellent condition considering the moisture we have gotten in the eastern half of Kansas. I would assume there is alot of good looking wheat across the country, but they produce alot of wheat in that area.
