West Michigan | Can anyone give me some information on composting. Mainly looking for cost and size of structure mainly. Did some searching on the internet. Most articles I read say 930sq ft(lowest i found) to about 1350sq ft(highest i found). We have four hog finisher barns that hold 1000 each. So finish about 11,000 pigs per year (feeder pigs to market). How many bins would be needed?? Is anyone composting?? Looking for some insight from a producer not just an extension study.
