E.Central MN | Wow, bet a lot of guys would love to be getting that for day olds. Neighbor was buying some for $50. Doesn't seem right, maybe its worse because of the cold weather, but something has to give and its usually the calf producer. As I said maybe it was just the day I was at that auction barn, but its easy to check by looking at their website. My local sales barn doesn't weigh them before selling, but even there I noticed calves were not bringing what they did last fall. I'm not trying to scare the guy, just telling him he'd better check if he's going to send them to a sales barn. Might be better off holding them til spring. | |
