Goff Kansas | well here we go.. NE kansas. i have been touting of a total overall increase in acres, much coming from hay and CRP. around here, think that hay will be down at least 7%, and CRP another 5%. Corn down 7%, while beans upabout 17%. Wheat, due to the freeze last yr., and poor seed supplies, will be down 5%, but we are not a wheat area.. If i am right, overall increase of crop acres was suppose to be up 6.2 mil acres, and i would think overall, it will be closer to 8 mil.. we are also seeing a couple of sunflowers around here too, which could account for a total of 2% of the acreage, which normally, would only be about .3% or so.. hope it helped
